Who is TMA?

Turnaround Management Association (TMA) (non for profit) is the most professionally diverse organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space. Established in 1988 and located in downtown Chicago on Wacker Drive, TMA has nearly 10,000 members in 52 chapters worldwide, including 32 North American chapters. Members include turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, advisors, liquidators, consultants, as well as academic, government employees, and members of the judiciary.  TMA provides members the opportunity to network and attend educational sessions to hone their skills and expand their contacts.  For more information about our organization please visit us at www.Turnaround.org

Position Overview:

Located downtown, close to METRA and public transportation and reporting to the Senior Manager of Membership, the Support Services Representative provides data entry, customer service, and administrative support to the membership department.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input and update membership and certification data for North American and International members
  • Assist with membership and Chapter Executive inquiries related to the database (i.e., website log-in, record update and creation requests)
  • Assist with membership renewal processing as needed
  • Provide front-line customer service for TMA members and Chapter Executives, answering inboxes and phones
  • Prepare mailings and complete additional administrative projects as needed
  • Fulfillment of Certification orders via USPS/UPS
  • File accounting forms and checks
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required

Requirements: 

  • 1+ years of experience in data entry/customer service (association/non-profit environment desired)
  • Detail oriented and a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with association management software strongly desired
  • Ability to multi-task, execute, and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required
  • Professionalism and ability to interact well with staff management team and volunteer leaders
  • Strong problem solving, customer service and analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
